WILDLIFE in Antarctica

Sometimes called Antarctic Cod, it the largest fin fish in
the Southern Ocean and is known to posses an antifreeze in
its blood and internal organs. Researchers fish for samples
from inside huts placed on the sea ice and then transport
the fish back to McMurdo Station's aquaria for study.

LIFESTYLES of People

The walk from our dormitories to the Galley (cafeteria). This
is how bundled up you have to get to walk a meer 100 feet.
You can barely see the galley in the background from the thickness
of the blowing snow. It's windy in this photo folks!

Our Coffeehouse. This is the front entrance to our coffeehouse,
a community room to relax in, play card games, drink coffee,
play music, etc.
